I nominate Jim O’Brien a career Educator in Ventura County, 2025. Conejo Valley Unified School TOHS and NPHS. 40 years. English teacher. English Department Chairperson. Assoc. Student Body Advisor. Football Coach. Created the position of Athletic Coordinator at TOHS. Then transferred to NPHS following the graduation of his three sons from NPHS. Continued to teach English and became Athletic-Coordinator at NPHS. Created the “Triple Threat” program at NPHS for Athletes who participated in three sports in one school with additional recognition for students who participated in three sports for four years. A Student-centered teacher and to this day remains in close touch with many of his students and student-athletes
